In word study we have been learning about complex sentences. A complex sentence has the conjunction because, when, so that or since. It makes it more interesting.
For this activity we had to turn the five simple sentences into complex sentences by adding a conjunction. Here are my five complex sentences in red. See if you can spot the conjunction.
1. Bobby and Maggie couldn't make a cake because they didn't have any flour.
2. Lucy and Poppy went to the library at lunchtime when it was raining.
3. Emma and Mel will dance in the show so that they can become famous.
4.Maya and Maximas saw a tiger hunting since it was hungry.
5. Tommy and Jamie were disappointed school was closed after they got into their school uniform.
